Old School Runescape, the proudly antiquated version of RS Gold that still looks and performs like the match I sank countless hours into once I actually should've been studying, is obtaining a raid. A fantastic raid needs good rewards, so when the Theatre of Blood was announced late last year, players were not able to see what clearing the multi-man challenge could earn them. Jagex responded with Justicar armor, a brand new best-in-slot armor set (above). There was one little problem: gamers absolutely hated it.
In factthey hated it so much , for months, the Old School community dogpiled the horn on the 2007scape subreddit and memed it into hell and backagain. They memed on it so hard that Jagex is now completely changing the armor's design. Virtually all of Old School Runescape's upgrades go through participant polls, but that is the first time a suit of armor has been forged in a passion of memes. The irony is that while gamers hated the'closing' armor revealed earlier this year, they adored the prototypes revealed when the raid was declared. Initially, the Justicar armor was bulkier and part of a trio of new armor sets, West tells me, but since the Theatre of Blood went from obscure concept to real content, the armor changed with it. Participants said there was enough DPS gear but not enough tank equipment, so it was narrowed down to only one armor set. And if they were only going to use one set, Jagex guessed they might as well create a new one based on the armor worn by the raid's big bad.
"We thought changing it up a bit made sense," West says,"but players weren't quite on board with the original proposal we shared stream. And then, well, Reddit went crazy." The memes came hard and fast. Some players said it was too much like existing armor, such as armor out of Runescape 3, the newer, mainline version of Runescape. Most demanded a return to the prototype designs. Others thought the new armor didn't seem tanky enough and generously provided some choices, with some calling for a more drastic redesign.
It got so bad that a few players started to seriously believe a meme the updated armor was by another artist, which the artist that made the prototypes had abandoned Jagex. But something amazing occurred. Even as memes blotted out sunlight, slowly but certainly severe suggestions began to shine through. It started with primitive Photoshop jobs, but shortly appropriate illustrations and fan art started to crop up. Players rallied around the notion of OSRS Accounts a milder, blessed armor group motivated by the Runescape god Saradomin, so they moved back to West's prototype layouts and made some adjustments.
I am happy to find your distinguished way of writing the post. Now you make it easy for me to understand and implement the concept. Thank you for the post. uniform security guard
